A low... And a question for the pro's.

and it is not in weight.  I have been feeling a bit low of mood lately.  I think it is the weather and possibly the time of year.  School will soon end for my six kiddies and I am back working.  I am just worried about how to keep them busy all summer so they do not get bored and pick on each other.  Last summer we kept really busy camping.  I really liked that.

I also have a new job.  I started at the local hospital.  I am the Aboriginal Patient Navigator.  I love my job.  It is a lot less stressful then child protection.  The one thing I struggle with is working 5 days a week.  I would really like to work only 4 days a week.  It would really help.

Lapband wise I am doing ok.. It seems to be a constant fight on keeping the weight off and trying to get down another 25lbs.  I really do struggle with this.  I had a fill a couple weeks ago but it was a very small one (.1cc).  I have to do small fills or I have problems.

I do have a question though,  in the evenings my band does not like to have anything after 8 pm or it does not go down.  I do not have heartburn.  I do not cough in my sleep but in the day time I can eat anything.  My dr is worried that if we go much tighter I will get heartburn.  I just would really like to cut my portions down.  Any suggestions.

Where in the heck have I been.

There has been so much on the go. Busy summer with an even busier fall. Four in hockey, one wants skate board lessons and sixth is in figure skating.  I also have two that will be joining cadets. I have been preparing to join roller derby.  Lol got my gear yesterday.  I really need to get practicing skating but my jaw needs to recupe from surgery.

Other things on the go is I bought a horse. She is beautiful. Love her.  She is a 17 year old Anglo Arabian.  Because of jaw surgery I can't ride for a bit.  I am hoping to get my girls riding more but she tends to act like a boss.  

We are kind of looking for property.  We want a couple acres to have a little farm.

So with this jaw surgery I am on lovely liquids. Lol. Feels like Lapband surgery all over again.  I am liking the weightloss.  The question is how to keep it up after I slowly get back onto solids.    I will try to post a picture. Cross my fingers.   Well I can't get it to work so sad.

I have a week left of holidays.  They are going way to fast.  I really need to up the exercise.   Well upping it would basically do it.  LOL.  But June is coming fast for my physical challenge of hiking chief mountain..  I have another lovely cold.  Really tired of being sick...

On better notes: I have more tea.  Love my tea.  My hubby also got me a latte maker that just heats and bubbles up the milk.  It is awesome...  I have been having a latte every morning while my band is tight.  I have also been making a lot of ice tea.  I love my little tea set-up.  I don't know what I am going to do when I go back to work...  How am I going to do my tea.  LOL...

So the weight is slowly going back down... I can do this.  Our friend Francis is leaving again on wednesday then time to get rid of all the bad food and back to the basic food.  I need to pay attention to my protein intake.  I know that has not been very high...  So as of thursday lol I will be back to tracking calories and protein.  I actually get full easy and stay full.  But I need to learn to walk away again and quit when I am physically full and not pay attention  to the  mental hungry.  I feel I am at a good place with my band but need to work it properly.  Just feel sooo out of practice.  BACK TO THE BASICS.  

I thought about going in for a bit of an un-fill but I think I am ok..  I can get solids down for lunch and supper.  I just can not get anything down after 8 pm.  Saliva is even slow in the evening but no heart burn and no gagging in my sleep.  I am really just scared of issues so trying to be good with it.

Yeah kids are back in school again tomorrow.  One week with no kids...  Love it..

Good morning:

So how is everyone doing on fine monday morning.  My kids are all on spring break...  I am on well deserved holidays.  If I had not of gotten them I may have considered quitting.  I have been burning out, literally.  I have been sick a lot and just not liking work at all.  I am hoping when I go back in April that I will be energized again....  

Band news I have gotten a fill.  I am not totally sure how much is in there.  What I do know is that in the am I am tight.  I can sip on tea and water.  Lunch I can get solids down and I can same for supper.  I can not eat or drink after 8 pm.  I have to learn to not snack.  We have a guest right now visiting and have been doing things like wiener roasts and big dinners with dessert.  If it is here I will eat it.  So time to get that crap out of my house.  

I do have healthy food I just have to get back at eating them.  I also need to up my protein.... 

I saw my surgeon for the first time since my lap band slipped.   It was good to see her.  I was being hard on myself because I had gained weight.  I am still up 15 pbls since my lowest weight.  My surgeon said that I am still doing very well considering the obstacles that I have had over the past year and a half... I was glad to hear that.  

Well we are planning on loading up the travel trailer and going camping down at Vancouver for a couple of days.  Will see how that goes...

Slow to post weigh in

I am down six pounds. I am happy about that. Not much else to post. Really trying to stick to under 1000-1200 calories a day. I didn't get my fill. Long story short I have been sick and didn't want to drive the 3-4 hour trip one way by myself. So a fill won't happen now till February.

My fitness challenge

So June is coming very quickly, I have until then to get in shape enough to hike Chief Mountain in Squamish BC.  I am very excited about this.  There is a trail with steps all the way to the top of the mountain.
